The Patricians
The patricians of Rome are the wealthy land owners in Rome that believe that they are the decedents of the Romans that lead the rebellion against Rome. The patricians would not let the lower class people called the plebeians be in consulship or senate ship. The plebs gained this rights later when the patricians needed the plebeians to fight for them in battle. The patricians lived a lot better than the lower class they would have a nice house in Rome and a villa in the country that were ran by slaves. The patricians had lots of nice clothing like for a example the men would have worn a tunic made out of whit wool and expensive linen.
After the patricians had to give up half of there government to the plebeians they only had 1 consul to represent them, and 150 senators to represent the people. They had to half there government power but in the assembly's there people were the minority instead of the majority which is not really good for there party. The thing about the consuls they canceled each other out which means that if one did not agree the law or something did not pass. The senate was just a free for all like the majority votes won which is better than two people voting on subject well that is what i think.

The plebeians
The plebeians were the poor of Rome they lived every day in poverty they lived in apartments filled with people this had great fire hazards and posed danger to the people. Their clothing was made out of any material that was available like the man’s tunic and the woman’s dresses were made out of whatever they could afford. The plebeians would have to follow the carrier of their parents when they grew up which gives no room for change really. They did not have kitchens like that patricians did so they usually went to a type of restaurant for takeout food like bread and simple foods.
The pleb actually started to gain power and wealth by the time Cesar came into power of Rome. When they were able to participate in Senate-ship and consulship this helped them gain power and wealth in Rome. For the plebes they had only had 1 consul in power which was half the number there were, they had 150 senators which was half over all. Basically they had half there power up the government except there where more plebeian males at the assembly's because there were more plebs.
